US President-elect Joe Biden thanked Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomeos for his letter in which he congratulated him for his election victory in November, the Patriarchate’s press office said Saturday.

Biden said he and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris “look forward to a future dialogue,” with the Ecumenical Patriarch, adding in a postscript: “We need your leadership.”
